Spend the day relaxing in a waterfall, sipping on a traditional Thai lunch, and caring for the gentle giants in their natural environment as you interact, feed, and observe them. Get picked up from your hotel or accommodation in downtown Chiang Mai and start the journey. Explore local farms, hill tribe villages, and rice fields while taking a scenic drive southwest of Chiang Mai. Get ready to visit the Mae Wang Waterfalls, where you can unwind and take a refreshing dip in the water.
Head to the elephant sanctuary in the jungle. The sanctuary welcomes you with a guide who will lead you through the experience. Afterward, get a briefing on Asian elephants and the history of the sanctuary. Enjoy meeting the rescued elephants and feeding them bananas. Explore the forest with elephants and witness their foraging for food in the wilderness. Observe how elephants interact with their families in their natural habitat. Travel to the river and take a dip with the elephants. Return with the elephants to the sanatorium and enjoy the memories, and have a moment to say goodbye to these amazing animals. End the trip with a breathtaking bamboo rafting journey through the Mae Wang River before being dropped off at your Chiang Mai hotel.
You'll be picked up directly from your accommodation in Chiang Mai city center. It would be appreciated if you could wait in your hotel lobby for 10-20 minutes prior to the confirmed pick up time.
